StrategyFirst
Phase 1 : Strategy Setting
The
StrategyFirst process forces management to think strategically
and realistically based on the company's competencies and the dynamics
of the marketplace. Through this process the vision becomes clear, the
strategy is set and the resources needed to attain the vision and implement
the strategy are determined and quantified.
StrategyFirst
accomplishes the following:
Leverages established competencies
Pinpoints strategic discipline that increases probability of goal
attainment
Strengthens differentiation vis-à-vis competition
Identifies resources needed for the implementation of the strategic
direction
The
result of the strategy setting process is a strong, executable business
model and a clear blueprint for the growth of the business, which substantially
increase the appeal of the opportunity to investors.
Phase 2 : Market Positioning
BPI conducts research into its clients existing and targeted marketplaces
to identify trends and dynamics of these sectors. This is accomplished
through a thorough Web search of numerous information databases, as well
as an offline search of major trade publications and traditional business
reference material. As part of its market analysis, BPI also collects
information on client competition. This analysis enables BPI to position
the client properly within the existing marketplace, to evaluate the impact
of anticipated market changes on the attainment of the clients' growth
plans and to demonstrate the clients competitive advantages.
Phase
3 : Financial Model Building
BPI develops comprehensive financial models that support the descriptive
portion of clients plan. Financial models are developed to quantify
the strategy and objectives, to determine the level and timing of investment
required to reach these objectives, and to show the potential return on
investment to an investor (or to the company, if self-funded). BPI has
demonstrated an expertise in the development of these models and is often
recommended by major accounting firms for this purpose.
